LETTER OF INTRODUCTION
from Feminist Theatre Makers
This semester, our professor Ezra LeBank challenged us to create a short film as a final project. Many of us theatre artists were not familiar with the film medium yet and had to stretch outside of our comfort zones to see what we were capable of. Students suddenly had to become very comfortable with the ins and outs of editing software, recording equipment, cinematography, etc. Ezra provided us the resources to fine-tune these individual skills, but also encouraged us to use them according to our individual needs and visions. With so much freedom, the content that was created was incredibly eclectic, and at the same time vividly authentic. In a time when performance art has been limited to digital spaces, each student below stepped up to the plate and gave it all they had, becoming an actor, editor, director, screenwriters, and more.
It would have been very easy for these students to phone in these projects, but not a single one did. With their consent, Feminist Theatre Makers wants to celebrate the achievements of these students with you! Below is a list of the student films. Hope you enjoy!
